The 2311 Community Fitness Team

Meet the Team that is Dedicated to Your Success

our founders

Eric and Shannon Yarrington

We opened our gym in 2013 as a way to share functional fitness with others. We fell in love with a type of training that was new, fun, challenging, and produced results. We wanted to share this passion with others. We built a community, put on charity events, hosted fitness competitions, and we saw lives changed and relationships flourish. We were blessed.

In 2017 we moved into a larger, brand new facility. With this move came a change in philosophy. We knew that we could offer more, could touch more lives, and could do it in a way where love and support would allow us and our members to thrive. Our mission became helping our members realize their potential, inspiring, and teaching them to achieve a level of physical and mental fitness that will help them to improve all areas of their lives. We wanted to lead by example by embodying the values of humility, integrity, perseverance, charity, and service while delivering superior coaching and programming.

We are not a method or a system. We are the sum of our systems. We are coaches. Our relentless pursuit of excellence means that we will never stop learning. We will always provide the most effective, science-based programming. We will push you. You will work hard. We will challenge you and you will challenge us. Together we will make it happen.

We believe that everyone deserves to realize their potential as a human being.
We believe that people are capable of more than they think.
We believe that teaching, learning, support, collaboration, and accountability serve as the foundation for achieving success.
We believe that success is a relative term. Each of us is unique and therefore each of us defines success differently.
We believe that true health is not just freedom from disease, but rather the ability to do the things you want and need to do. These are the things that help you enjoy life: To take care of yourself and others, to succeed as a parent and spouse, to avoid the pitfalls of aging and chronic disease, to be the best YOU that you can be.
We believe that taking care of your physical body is important. But life needs balance. We must have a healthy body, a healthy mind, a healthy spirit, a healthy family life, and healthy finances. We must understand our purpose, our meaning for living. Realizing your potential is not the understanding that you have potential. It is the actualization of this potential that we hope to inspire.

Our name is derived from the biblical verse Philippians 2:3-11
“Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but (also) everyone for those of others. Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The humble man makes room for progress. The proud man believes he is already there.
