I had previously lost about 70+ pounds through changes in diet and I wanted to change my focus to strength and agility training. I really was drawn to CrossFit because of the variety of workouts and the opportunity of having coaching.
My first impression was that you probably should already be in good shape before walking through door, but that went away immediately after starting OnRamp. All exercises are able to be modified as you start out and it gives you a good goal to work towards.
I’ve got a bad little habit of cherry-picking my WODs that I know I need to work on.I continue to work on overall technique.
My greatest achievement so far has got to be going to that first OnRamp class. Once I was past that initial mental hurdle, I knew I could gain a lot from the program both mentally and physically.
My favorite memory would be the rest of the class cheering me on as I finished up a WOD. The support and camaraderie is a great motivator.
