1. What brought you to CrossFit?

The encouragement of my oldest child and the curiosity and desire to see if I could make changes to my body by challenging myself are what brought me to CrossFit2311.

 

2. What was your first impression and how has that changed?

During OnRamp, I was amazed at the members who were participating in the “real” WOD, and truly wondered if I would be able to do enough during a WOD to make(see) a difference in myself. I learned that I could complete a WOD, at a moderate pace, and that by coming at least 3x a week, I was getting stronger and my confidence was positively impacted by the camaraderie of the members in my class and the watchful eyes of the coaches.

 

3. What are you working on now?

After having surgery on Nov. 5th, I am working on getting back to CrossFit to work on lower body strength until I can resume upper body weightlifting. I want to do pushups and pull-ups unmodified without feeling weakness on right side! What I was mainly working on was doing squats correctly, getting some flexibility in hips.

 

4. What was your greatest achievement?

I got better at burpees. I actually looked forward to burpees. Also, finishing a WOD that had about 75 total overhead lunges. That was so hard for me, but if you don’t quit, you finally get to the end and that’s a great feeling.

 

5. What is your favorite CrossFit 2311 memory?

My favorite memory is watching my daughter accomplish a rope climb! Amazing.
